As an assignment in my Motion Design class. I wanted to create something that attributed towards paying homage to the band, Blue Öyster Cult, and incorporate their occult and metal rock into a visual aesthetic with lyrics to their hit song, (Don't Fear) The Reaper. I applied many effects and tools with After Effects, such as making the Death playing card rotate, add grain and visible tearing throughout the screen, and cropping and masking the lyrics' text to appear as the song progresses.
